For me it comes down to quality of the build. Traveling the country fishing tournaments at the highest level as well as living next to the Great Lakes in Michigan, I don’t want to worry about screws falling out, and things breaking, I can focus on my job and catching the next fish. The Cougar FTD provides a soft ride and is still able to maneuver well at high speeds.
